Location: This position is open to fully remote or hybrid work in the Philadelphia and DC offices.

Summary:This position focuses on editing, summarizing, and rewriting scientific descriptions for a non-scientific audience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Review client materials to determine how to present achievements to satisfy USCIS criteriaReviews samples of cases to learn filing presentation and structureClient communication under supervision of Editor or AttorneyAssembling exhibits for Editor and/or Attorney review prior to filingPresent technical ideas simply and without impairing meaning with supervisor inputAbility to extract meaning from technical documentsConduct supplementary research based on client needsProduce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience under supervision of Editor/AttorneyObserve and attend client case strategy calls and consultationsEnsure technical verbiage is easy to understand by the layperson.Must be able to work within strict deadlines as cases are time sensitiveTracking case progress in document management systemManagement of time in billing system

Education, Experience and Skills:Bachelor's degree with excellent academic credentialsInterest in international/intercultural issuesMust be able to provide a writing sampleAbility to multi-task and prioritizeAbility to organize work flow and use time efficientlyAbility to show strong attention to detailAbility to perform at high levels in a fast-paced ever-changing work environment and successfully adapt to changing priorities and work demandsAbility to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction, follow up on own initiativeFlexibility to adapt to all situations and work varied hours; possibly work weekends or eveningKnowledge of MS365 Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
