This role will specifically support one of the NDR units, the Eck Institute for Global Health (EIGH) on a 60% capacity, while the other 40% will be assigned based on upcoming project needs by the director.

Eck Institute for Global Health (EIGH) Support

The EIGH is an endowed University institute that recognizes health as a fundamental human right and works to promote research, training, and service to advance health standards and reduce health disparities for all. * Attend all relevant EIGH team meetings.* Manage the EIGH website, using the CMS Conductor, on a daily basis.* Manage all EIGH social media accounts, including updating the X account on a weekly basis, creating and managing a EIGH LinkedIn group aimed at alumni connections on a bimonthly basis, and managing a EIGH LinkedIn company page aimed at masters recruitment on a weekly or biweekly basis. Other social media channels may be considered in the future.* Source, draft, edit, and publish research or student stories on a monthly basis, or as needed.* Create a quarterly Emma newsletter, including managing the mailing list.* Attend / provide support at EIGH-sponsored or -involved events, locally, regionally, nationally, or abroad.* Source and manage promotional items.* Provide management of digital signage on Korbyt, including the creation and promotion of such signs.* Draft relevant print materials, as needed.* Support ongoing recruitment efforts for the masters program and other educational programs, as required.* Provide monthly reporting on all of the above items.* Manage one student intern to support the deliverables above.

For 1 day a week, the RCS will be assigned special projects by the director of research communications and/or will be assigned to support another endowed or grant-funded research unit in need of specialized research communications. The RCS will be expected to attend NDRC team meetings and one-on-one meetings with the director of research communications (1 day a week). This is a hybrid position based in South Bend, Indiana.

Overall, this collaborative, solutions-oriented problem solver, who has an understanding of, and enthusiasm for, higher education, science, and research, and can work within embargoed and/or confidential arrangements, will be expected to work diplomatically as part of the NDRC team to support all existing NDR communications services, including graphic design, videography, and more. The RCS will work closely with the wider communications network at Notre Dame, as well, including with colleagues in the Colleges and Schools, the Office of Public Affairs and Communications, Notre Dame Global, the Office of Development, and more.
