Description

The Department of Writing Studies and Rhetoric is seeking to fill anticipated part-time adjunct teaching positions. The position involves teaching the first- and/or second-semester required writing course (WSC 001 or WSC 002) in the Hofstra College of Liberal Arts and Sciences during the Fall 2024 Semester.

QualificationsA master's degree in composition, English, creative writing, or a similar field is required.Successful candidates will have demonstrated a commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in an educational environment.

Preferred Quals SummaryExperience in teaching composition at the college level is strongly preferred.

Salary/Salary Range$1,442-$1,794 per credit

Additional InformationHofstra University provides the above salary* as a good faith estimate of the starting pay range which considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and education.
