Our NYC client (the world's leading marketplace to buy and sell tickets to any live event, anywhere) is seeking an experienced Content Editor to edit customer-facing support articles, website copy, and email messaging. In this role, you'll support our initiative to update our customer support center (articles ranging from 250-600 words) while also supporting stakeholders with ad-hoc copy edit requests. You'll need to balance and prioritize competing projects to ensure our team can hit our weekly production goals. As our content team is a new function, you will also play a key role in evolving our editorial processes, such as editorial workflow, templates, and style guide development.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)Edit support articles to ensure accuracy, quality, concision, and consistency. Provide structural and copy edits to improve tone, structure, and information included.Edit articles within 1-2 business days. Typically there are 7-12 content pieces per week (350-1,000 words)Edit emails and customer-facing messaging.Improve our editorial process and content templates to make our work more efficient.Develop our style guide with a strong point of view. Our business is mature but our style guide is new and lacks detail. We need to improve guidelines to bring more consistency to the website.Coach writers to improve their writing abilities. Provide constructive feedback to support growth areas.Manage projects in Airtable and communications in Slack.

Who You Are (Qualifications)5+ years of professional editing experienceExperience creating Editorial Guides highly desiredHave a portfolio or a minimum of 3 editing or writing samples for us to review before the interview.Experience progressing multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to effectively prioritize work and escalate roadblocks when necessary.Highly adaptable and can thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.Comfortable making decisions and developing processes where structure does not yet exist.Strong verbal and written communication skills. Confident working with writers and advocating for a point of view.Background in technical writing or journalism, a plus.Experience in marketplace or ecommerce industries, a plus.HTML knowledge, a plus.Passionate about the live event space and the opportunity to write content related to live event experience

About the TeamThe Global Communications team is responsible for how we communicate about the company to customers and internal stakeholders. Our job is to craft the right narratives that support our mission to become the go-to ticket destination for live events around the world. We work cross-functionally with every function of the business, including Product, Partnerships, Supply, Fulfillment, Customer Support, and Acquisition Marketing to build brand awareness and affinity.

Note: This is a fully remote opportunity with EST hours mandatory. 2-3 months to start with potential to extend.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $35-45/ hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
