POSITION SUMMARYThe social media manager at PCOM Georgia is responsible for optimizing PCOM's social media presence by planning, creating, curating, publishing content that aligns with and promotes the institution's mission and overall communication efforts, particularly regarding the Suwanee, Georgia, campus location. Acting as the "social voice of PCOM Georgia," the incumbent helps to develop and execute the institution's social media strategy, including targeted communications to various stakeholders, such as students, staff, faculty, alumni and community members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe successful incumbent will perform the following duties, with or without reasonable accommodations:• Assist with creating and publishing engaging content, including visual media, photographs, graphics, video, text and web links, across PCOM Georgia's social media channels to increase traffic to the PCOM website; generate ideas for content that conveys the College's story and supports organizational priorities, such as enrollment management.• Manage PCOM Georgia's social media channels, including Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Threads, or other platforms that may emerge; collaborate with other team members and stakeholders, such as students, faculty, and staff, to plan and manage cross-campus social media content and campaigns.• Interact with social media followers, visitors, and other social influencers regularly to establish and promote PCOM Georgia's specific presence and relevance; reply to social media inquiries.• Schedule social media content for publication based on academic and event calendar, such as campus closings, holidays, and special events.• Supervise work-study students, as applicable.• Monitor and analyze social media metrics using analytical tools such as Sprout Social; represent key metrics and data in regular and ad hoc reports and distribute to stakeholders, as applicable.• Maintain knowledge of social media and marketing trends and best practices; apply knowledge to recommend and implement changes to established policies, procedures, and practices while improving the effectiveness of internal and external social media initiatives.• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

POSITION REQUIREMENTSEducation• Bachelor's degree ( required )• Associates degree with 7 years of progressive experience will be considered.

Skills and Experience•

Minimum

of three years' experience as a social media content manager, including content development, editing, and publication on all major social media platforms on both desktop and mobile platforms,

preferably in a higher education setting.• Experience creating trending short-form social media video content; Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.• Photography and videography experience, including simultaneous use of multiple recording devices, preferred.• High level of technical fluency with word processing, spreadsheet, presentations, email, and virtual meeting applications, preferably on the Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 platforms.• Strong planning and organizational skills.• Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal.

Salary Range:

$55,000 - $65,000

The referenced salary range is based on PCOM good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
