The Arena Group is looking for an experienced, enterprising and energetic journalist to join our digital team as Senior Newsletter Editor for its Lifestyle vertical, including the premium legacy brand, Parade. The position is focused on all aspects of Parade.com's newsletter operations, from strategy to production. The editor will be expected to conceive, curate, write, edit and produce high-quality, engaging digital newsletters for audiences across the Lifestyle vertical in collaboration with the editorial teams across a variety of topic areas, including entertainment/pop culture, food, health & wellness, home & garden and pets. You have an innovative entrepreneurial spirit, robust experience with editorial newsletters, strong writing and editing skills and the ability to dive in on new projects and juggle multiple demands with no drama. You not only understand, but LOVE analytics, and are adept at translating and communicating insights with a variety of teams.

The Arena Group's expected annualized base salary range for this position is currently $90,000 - $100,000. Actual salaries will vary based on multiple factors including education, experience and other factors permitted by law. The listed salary range is but one component of The Arena Group's total compensation and benefits available to its employees.

What You'll Do:Employ newsletter best practices to optimize and improve performance of current newsletter offeringsBrainstorm with editorial teams and use data to collaboratively determine ideas for new newslettersCreate and manage long-term and short-term schedules for newslettersCurate, write and edit newsletters on a daily basis in collaboration with editorial teamWrite compelling subject lines and display copyGrow the Lifestyle vertical's newsletter subscriber base through the use of data and by collaborating across social and other teams teams to promote subscriptionsPerform A/B testing when possible to maximize engagementClosely monitor key metrics to help inform ongoing strategy and communicate insights to editorial teamsHelp develop ways to gain new subscribers and re-engage inactive subscribersManage subscriber list, adding new subscribers and purging inactive ones

What You'll Bring:5+ years of direct experience curating or editing editorial newsletters, including a firm understanding of newsletter production systemsDemonstrated familiarity and consumption of daily and weekly editorial newsletters, as well as knowledge of newsletter trendsExperience curating, analyzing and communicating newsletter analytics and insights across teams.
