Job Summary

The successful candidate will possess excellent writing to crat donor profiles/ briefs and correspondence and assist in writing materials for communications/ PR purposes; and excellent research skills to identify and profile donors.

Essential Job DutiesWrite detailed profiles and analyses of individual prospects for gifts cultivation and board recruitmentSave as primary writer for acknowledgement letters, stewardship reports, and any other correspondence with prospects and donorsAssist in writing / editing grant proposals, funder reports, letter of inquiry, and acknowledgement lettersAssist in the design, development, and dissemination of print and web materials designed to promote Tuskegee University and its works to external audiences- with specific attention to foundations, corporations, philanthropists. and alumniWork with the Office of Marketing, Communication, and Public Relations team to research and writing annual giving donor impact stories for reports, publications, websites, videos, etc.

Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training)Requires a Bachelor's degree but prefer Master's degreeDemonstrate proficiency with databases (such as WealthEngine and Raiser's Edge) and with Microsoft Office applications
