REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES TO PERFORM THE FOLLOWING

:

The Medina County District Library is seeking a friendly, energetic individual that is committed to public service to join our vibrant Seville branch! Successful candidate will provide direct library services such as reference and reader's advisory, coordinate, plan, and present programs including Storytimes, process patron requests, assist in collection maintenance, assist in Customer Service department as needed, and other duties as assigned. Establish community partnerships and provide outreach to local schools, etc. This position will directly supervise the Page department, and may serve as in-charge staff for the library in the absence of the Branch Manager and department supervisors. Reports to Seville Branch Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidate must possess a Master's degree in Library Science from an accredited ALA institution or be within six (6) hours and six (6) months of graduation; possess excellent communication and organizational skills; knowledge of a wide range of books and authors; reference services, electronic information resources, and reader's advisory; ability to handle multiple tasks; initiative to act in a self-directed manner; and ability to work as a team member.

WAGE:

Pay range is $18.73 - $28.09 per hour commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications

BENEFITS:

22 days vacation, sick leave, personal days, holidays, group health benefits; Public Employees Retirement System

HOURS : Full-time; 37.5 hours per week; flexible schedule required including some evenings, Saturdays and Sundays (schedule subject to change based on needs of

the library)
