Marketing & Events Intern
Working alongside and taking direction from the Partnerships & Marketing Team, the Marketing & Events Intern is responsible for helping to facilitate all aspects of scheduled events and promotional activities. The candidate should have an appreciation for special events management and providing outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
Preparing agendas, welcome letters, nametags, marketing materisla, gift bags, registration lists, binders, packets, seating cards and other event materials.Assist in keeping events email inbox and calendar up to date.Receive, track, and respond to attendee requests.Assist with managing on-site production, greeting guests, and acting as a host to the guest's needsData entryGeneral administrative supportServe as a liaison with vendors on event-related matters for LakePoint-hosted eventsSupport special projects as requiredAssume and perform other duties and responsibilities not specifically outlined herein, but which are logically and properly inherent to the position.Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Education/Relevant Experience/ SkillsComputer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).Prior experience working with email marketing software is an assetPrior experience in scheduling and managing events is an assetExcellent organizational and communication skills, while maintaining and following company event protocols and proceduresHighly professional appearance and demeanorAbility to lift 30 lbsMust have the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers in person, through email, and by phoneAbility to assist during evening and weekend events
