ROLE SUMMARY

Valor's Arts+Media Coordinator manages, communicates, and brings together key programmatic, event and production elements to allow Valor's Arts+Media department to thrive. Diligent planning and high-level execution afford stakeholders such as students, parents, faculty, patrons and donors a commendable and memorable experience within Valor Arts. The Arts+Media Coordinator is a key player in Arts+Media ventures, a realizer of critical details that allow the Arts program to flourish. Through efficient organization, high-level execution and an others first attitude, the Arts+Media Coordinator will help foster an energized and exceptional culture and a first rate experience within Valor Arts+Media.

Provide Production, Event, and Youth & Summer Camp Support:Manage all details of Valor productions, concerts, and recitals/showcases. This includes managing logistics such as scheduling, facility reservations, communications, and day-of event support to ensure an exceptional experience for students, parents, and patrons. Valor Arts+Media hosts approximately 15 events per year, including around 30 evening commitments.Determine, organize and manage cast and crew needs during the production process and provide oversight of evening hours for productions, events, and final production preparation.Assist with key publicity efforts, such as playbill development, organizing film support for live streaming or promotions, sponsor coordination and support, and other content required for promotion and other purposes as needed.Manage the ticketing portal, associated patron support, and will call for all necessary Arts+Media eventsManage all details, logistics, and communications for a variety of summer camp experiences for elementary and middle school students taking place during June and July each year. Providing day-of support is required during camp sessions.Manage and coordinate all details for the Valor Youth Theater and Valor Youth Orchestra programs.

Support Department Needs and Contribute to Stakeholder Support:Provide general support to the Arts+Media department by coordinating and scheduling facility usage, assisting with field trip logistics, and supporting the monthly budget process for all budget captainsPartner with the Director of Arts+Media to coordinate the details and logistics for a variety of meetings with various stakeholders throughout the yearProvide additional support to the Director of Arts+Media as requested.Accounting support including tracking the Arts+Media budgets, credit card reports, paying invoices for contractors, and handling money during productions for concessions.Special events organization and support is required. Such events may include assisting with the planning of community partner events, sponsor support, and the coordination and support of guest speakers.Support the Director of Arts+Media and the Advancement team execute Arts related receptions and stakeholder events, share department vision with stakeholders, and thank donors and patrons for their generosity as requested

RESULTS

The Valor Arts+Media Coordinatorwill help propel the Arts program, allowing it to thrive through meticulous planning and exceptional execution, as they attend to critical needs for production and event support, departmental assistance, and Arts patron, student and parent needs. A high-level coordinator will effectively raise all boats within the program, allowing faculty, students and parents alike to have a smooth, well-informed, first-rate experience within Valor Arts+Media.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics are varied and include classroom, office, and outdoor events while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is also varied.

POSITION TYPE: B: Traditional school calendar with additional weeks prior to school starting and after school ends. July - June.

HOURS PER WEEK: Full-Time, Non-exempt. (Occasional evening, summer, and weekend work as required)
