Grant Writer ! We are seeking a skilled and motivated
Grant Writer
to join our client's team, here in Chicago, and play a crucial role in securing funding for the organization by identifying grant opportunities, crafting compelling grant proposals and managing the grant application process.
This
Grant Writer
position requires exceptional writing skills, attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This will be a fully remote, part-time, W2 contract opportunity.
Grant Writer Responsibilities:Research and identify potential grant opportunities that align with the organization's mission and goalsMaintain a comprehensive database of potential funders and grant opportunitiesWrite persuasive and well-structured grant proposals that effectively communicate the organization's objectives and impactCollaborate with program managers and other team members to gather necessary information and data for proposalsCustomize proposals to meet the specific requirements and guidelines of each funding opportunityManage the end-to-end grant application process, including preparing, reviewing and submitting grant applicationsEnsure that all applications are submitted accurately and on timeWork in a deadline-driven environment to meet tight submission deadlines for multiple grant applications simultaneouslyPrioritize tasks effectively to ensure that all deadlines are metTrack and report on the status of grant applications and awardsEnsure that the organization complies with all grant-related reporting requirementsFoster positive relationships with potential funders and grant-making organizationsCommunicate with funders as needed to clarify application requirements or address questions
Grant Writer Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., English, Communications, Nonprofit Management)Proven experience in grant writing for a nonprofit organizationExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong research and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple projects with varying deadlinesDetail-oriented with exceptional organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software (e.g., GrantHub)
