The Technical Proposal Writer will be responsible for the development of compelling technical proposal content and responses to federal contract opportunities. This could include all components of the response (e.g., Executive Summaries, Technical Content, Past Performance, Staffing/Management Content, and Resumes) that aligns with the opportunity's objectives and requirements. The candidate should have the ability to proficiently write to and convey approaches to quickly interpret our company's offerings and translate these into language aimed at both a business and technical user and/or decision maker. The candidate will be a member of the Business Development team to successfully collaborate with and take guidance from proposal team leadership (Capture Manager, Proposal Manager, and Operations Lead) and other potential assigned authors or Subject matter Experts.

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000

Responsibilities:

* Develop and refine a compliant and compelling technical proposal storyline that incorporates guidance from the capture manager and/or proposal manager and clearly and concisely articulates ZAI's strengths, win themes, key differentiators, and business value proposition in the context of customer ecosystem and opportunity requirements.* Develop comprehensive proposal content based on interviews with technical, program, and/or management staff.* Adhere to schedules and deadlines established by the proposal manager and proactively manage their time* Undertake research, prepare draft guidance material and documentation, evaluate technical alternatives and recommend preferred option.* Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to produce documents that convey relevant information regarding the details of current contracts and various projects.* Participate in the overall quality, compliance, and completeness reviews of each opportunity response to include participating in color reviews and refining content based on feedback from review teams as well as capture manager/proposal manager guidance.* Assist in capture management research as directed by the capture manager.* Develop an approach for capturing technical data on an on-going basis.* Develop RFI responses, marketing material, and client presentations

Qualifications:

* Three to five years of experience technical writing as part of a proposal/marketing/technical team/or other professional writing experience.* Exceptional writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.* Ability to translate business problems into practical, scalable technical solutions in a narrative or graphical format.* Intellectual curiosity and ability to "get smart quick" on a wide variety of topics.* Strong attention to detail and disciplined adherence to schedules and deadlines.* Self-motivated, proactive, and energetic.* Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends as needed in order to meet writing deadlines or talk with operational/contractor staff that are unavailable during the workday.* Ability to prioritize and multitask within a fast-paced, challenging, and deadline-driven environment.* Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) and Adobe PDF

Desired:
