Job Description:

Under general supervision, this position oversees a variety of auxiliary aids and services provided to disabled students, including but not limited to alternative testing & alternative media services. This position coordinates accommodated testing for students registered with Student Accessibility Services (SAS) and markets SAS services through social media and other outreach.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Duties and Responsibilities

* Manages academic testing accommodations for disabled students including scheduling, proctoring and coordinating with faculty and campus departments. Provides guidance, communicates commitment and models expectations for students, faculty and staff who interact with accommodated testing processes.

* Coordinates all activities of the Accommodated Testing Center in collaboration with the Associate Director of Student Accessibility, including supervising student workers and managing all protocol related to accommodated testing.

* Efficiently plans, organizes and priorities work to meet deadlines. Communicates verbally and in writing regarding operation and supply needs. Resolves problems in the Center as they arise.

* Maintains confidential/sensitive records and information. Conducts precise and accurate record keeping that maintains exam integrity.

* Performs general office duties such as filing, overseeing inventory and participating in department meetings. Compiles data and prepares documents for consideration and presentation to staff.

* Provides support of Center initiatives and oversees social media campaigns.

* Assists with alternative media services that fulfill student accommodation requests .

Additional Duties:

* Cooperates and collaborates with other employees in the spirit of teamwork and collegiality and interacts with confidence, patience and integrity to provide professional leadership during emergencies.

* Complies with all Trinity University policies and guidelines.

* Performs other duties as required.

Supervision

Given:

* Supervises student workers and one part-time staff position.

Received:

* Specific and general instruction from direct supervisor, either orally or in writing. Operates independently for most routine matters.

Requirements

Education

Required:

* High school diploma or GED.

Preferred:

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

Experience

Required:

* Minimum of two (2) years of experience coordinating, compiling data or related activities.

* Experience maintaining confidentiality.

Preferred:

* Minimum of two (2) years of administrative/clerical experience maintaining confidentiality.

* Experience working with sensitive information.

* Experience managing testing within a higher education setting.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Required:

* Ability to maintain confidentiality.

* Thorough knowledge of and ability to use computers, copier equipment and other standard office machines.

* Excellent communication skills.

* Ability to effectively communicate procedures and policies clearly, both verbally and in writing.

* Ability to balance the demands of simultaneous projects, conflicts and time pressures, to meet organizational needs.

Schedule & Attendance Requirements:

Maintaining and satisfying minimum attendance requirements are an essential requirement of this position, including working all full-time regular hours as established by the supervisor, in addition to nights and weekends as needed and any scheduled or emergency overtime.
