LOCATION: On-Site Hamilton, Mo (Kansas City area commutable)

We offer a variety of services to our world-wide customers:A large on-line selection of products and "tools" customers need to inspire creativity such as fabrics, sewing machines, sewing notions / patterns.Online education through our own tutorials and Block Magazine.Over a dozen brick and mortar shops located in downtown Hamilton, MO.As well as Machine quilting and quilt binding services that are available to help complete their masterpiece!

Because of our successes, over the past 15 years we have been given honors such as: small business of the year, making the front page of the Wall Street Journal, and have had feature stories written about us from the likes of Forbes, NPR, Google, The Today Show, MSNBC's Main Street USA, and the NBC Nightly News. JOB SUMMARY:

The Videographer position is responsible for execution of all in-studio and remote video productions, editing, and project management for all content produced by the Company's family of brands. This individual will be a creative thinker and have technical execution skills in end-to-end video production. Position is responsible for cross collaboration across teams and brands, and must be comfortable with delivering high-quality content in a fast-paced environment.

Engage and educate MSQC customers on our products and impact to the community. Video (especially YouTube) is essential to our business and has the highest priority within the context of engagement with customers. Help to build awareness to new customers and keep current in the retail environment; new customer acquisition is a primary goal for the business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Create and develop multimedia (audio/video) content for customer stories, internal company videos, external promotional social videos, product marketing videos, recruiting videos, corporate training and other enterprise-wide projects.Collaborate closely with internal clients and stakeholders to help facilitate the creation of multimedia content.Participate in the evolution of the video product.Strong grasp of the best practices and latest trends in production media and also storytelling.Record and edit video and sound projects, including program format for final output, capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music, media management and archiving project media.Collaborate with stylists to ensure concepts and brand vision are compelling.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:Bachelor's Degree preferredMinimum 3 years experience in radio, television, film, sound or new media arenas.Familiarity with professional cameras, various HD and SD formats, pre-production/planning, lighting/grip, storyboarding and photography.Audio recording techniques.Post-production digital video editing, still and motion graphics design, and video compression for multiple delivery platforms.Editing software.

Physical requirements:This position requires continuous walking and standing for long periods of timeFrequently squatting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and bendingFrequently lifting up to 20 pounds, occasionally up to 50 poundsRepetitive motion of wrists, hands, and/or fingers while operating a laptop/keyboard
