Position Summary:

USA Hockey has an exciting opening to oversee the marketing and brand efforts of the organization. This position will build and drive the brand narrative forward by working with the USA Hockey community: youth organizations, national team programs, sponsors/partners, and more. The position will also develop, analyze, and execute marketing campaigns that support the community above. This individual will lead the charge in building brand awareness, setting the tone of voice, brand positioning and increasing member engagement.

We are looking for an experienced and versatile marketer that is comfortable with day-to-day marketing and social activities as well as long term strategy. This position will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop marketing strategy for key areas including social media, brand positioning, creative and event sales to fans/members in a manner that is consistent with our brand and that supports our mission and values.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Help create and manage an overall content strategy with the communications teamGuide creative direction to meet objectives for all advertising and public-facing communications, including print, digital and video assets.Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments.Build and execute through collaboration an integrated marketing calendar to engage our audience base; supported by internal, institutional and external resources around key datesAnalyze customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis and marketing best practices to build successful strategies, including SEO, web-traffic metrics and digital KPIs.Be a collaborative leader in managing outbound email campaigns within the organizationEssential role in ongoing website redesign and content strategy.Manage and analyze the results of consistent membership surveys to help guide strategy on brand positioning, content direction, membership sentiment and sharing of these insights with the appropriate stakeholdersExcellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices.• Bringing the brand to life, delivering experiences to our members, and aligning with key partners that help us to drive our brand forward.• Collaborate on the development of new and creative revenue producing sponsorship and promotional ideas.• Manage approvals of marks and creative submitted by licensees of USA Hockey

Challenge and influence at a senior level the direction of the Brand, bringing ideas, inspiration, and creative thinking.Building brand deck and guidelines to drive consistency through the business.

Qualifications:

Required• Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, communications or related field.• 3+ years of experience in the field of sports/entertainment/venue marketing preferred.• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to excel at details, multi-tasking and working under pressure.• Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes weekends, holidays and special events.• Ability to work constructively in a fast-paced, team environment.• Ample experience with digital media platforms• Ample experience and proficiency in creating, executing and evaluating paid digital campaigns• Working knowledge of website and email measurement, analysis, and reporting.• Proven experience developing brand marketing plans and campaigns.• Strong project management, multitasking and decision-making skills.• Metrics-driven marketing mind with an eye for creativity.• Must be a self-starter, proactive, flexible, and deadline-focused.• Ability to work within departmental and event budgets.

Salary:

$55,000-$60,000. This is a full-time position. Benefits include health/dental/vision insurance, vacation/sick time, and 403B matching after six months.

Availability:

Position available immediately at USA Hockey's national headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colo. This is not a remote position.
