What are we looking for in our Product Marketing Manager?

Our client, a major entertainment conglomerate, is looking for a talented Product Marketing Manager to support their streaming platform and Commerce efforts, with a focus on upgrades and monetization on-site in New York on a hybrid schedule.

This person will be vital in crafting Bundle Product Marketing strategy, and partnering closely with product and engineering teams, helping to bring said strategies to life across our client's streaming platform.

Pay: $57-$65/hour depending on experience
Contract: Onsite/W2
Length: 15 Months
Location: New York, NY (Mon-Thurs on-site/Friday Remote)

Who You Are:

  • The ideal candidate has a deep knowledge of and a passion for the digital media and entertainment landscape.
  • While this role will focus primarily on driving existing subscribers into our higher tiered plans, the candidate should have a clear understanding of the full user experience journey and marketing funnel and be knowledgeable about designing experiments and deriving insights from data with the ultimate goal of growing an engaged audience for the client's streaming platform and bundle.
  • A high level understanding of Product and technical teams is also valuable as this candidate will be expected to partner and negotiate with those teams to align on the best solution for the consumer.
  • The Product Marketing Assistant Manager needs to be an exceptional collaborator and communicator, who is able to manage several concurrent projects across many markets globally with minimal oversight. Attention to detail is also extremely important.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently develop product marketing strategies and experimentation roadmaps that drive upgrades, monetization, and retention with a focus on moving subscribers to higher OI plans and reducing churn.
  • Execute against those strategies with minimal oversight.
  • Lead messaging strategy across platforms including mobile app, connected TV devices, and web commerce flows.
  • Manage cross-functional timelines to ensure multiple teams and their dependencies are hitting launch dates, and escalating risks appropriately
  • Facilitate discussions with key cross functional partners across the organization (Product, Product Design, Marketing Strategy, Lifecycle, Finance, Research, Analytics, and Viewer Experience) to develop holistic Product Marketing strategies that drive positive financial impact for the business.
  • Partner with Product team members that focus on Account Management, Plan Switch/Upgrades, and Cancel Flow to develop a testing strategy that optimizes conversions and operating income.
  • Understand sign up and upgrade flow nuances, and identify opportunities for testing, optimization, clarification, etc., using that foundational understanding to build out practical strategies to execute on.
  • Report out to leadership on performance on a regular cadence.
  • Analyze research and customer care insights to identify user pain points and develop strategies for optimization.
  • Develop new inroads, strategic levers, and monetization efforts to drive growth for Client's Streaming Platform and their Streaming Bundle.
