Southwest Virginia Community College, as a comprehensive institution of higher education, dedicates its services to area citizens. Southwest is seeking an individual to work alongside and under the supervision of the Director of Strategic Communications. The Coordinator of Marketing supports the College by executing day-to-day marketing initiatives that promote the institution's brand and increase its visibility. This role is responsible for developing and managing marketing campaigns, coordinating advertising efforts, and maintaining strong relationships with media outlets to ensure positive representation of the College. The Marketing Coordinator collaborates with other employees to produce digital media and print publications, social media content, and assist with media relations efforts. By focusing on daily marketing and advertising tasks, this position ensures that the College's messaging is effectively communicated across all platforms in alignment with the institution's goals and objectives.

This position requires a one-year probationary period for both new hires and transfers.
