The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, or any other form of compensation that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company's sole discretion, consistent with the law.The Sr. Marketing Manager is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of marketing assets and programs to support Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans (BCBS) in positioning and selling various national programs and initiatives. Leads planning and development of numerous marketing activities intended to serve a variety of audiences, including business decision makers, key influencers, consumers/members, and thought leaders. Works directly with local BCBS Plans individually and through Plan Collaboratives, advising their marketing teams on strategies/best practices, while developing set program deliverables to be used locally. In partnership with internal and external stakeholders, the Sr. Manager oversees content development across multiple channels and platforms, including the planning and execution of marketing campaigns. Uses understanding of complex business needs to align marketing strategies to overall project goals.

Primary Job FunctionsOversees content development and creative direction for various marketing deliverables including presentations, collateral and digital content.

Key contributor to the development of marketing strategies; implements marketing strategies, plans and tactics for a variety of BCBSA national programs.

Ensures Sales Support Toolkit content is updated and relevant, developing and posting new content and tracking results.

Facilitates and helps manage marketing Plan Collaboratives (i.e. the B2B Marketing Collaborative), including setting annual priorities and tracking against deliverables.

Collaborates with local Plans to advise on marketing strategies and campaign needs for their service areas.

Manages third-party agency and in-house resources in support of various marketing campaigns, ensuring seamless planning, execution, reporting and optimization.

Education, Experience, and CertificationEducationRequired: Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communications, New Media or related field; or equivalent experienceExperienceRequired: A minimum of 8 years marketing/communications planning and implementation, preferably in health care. Experience writing for a variety of communication vehicles including websites, multimedia, print and online collateral, and market-facing collateral.Preferred:Previous experience in content marketing. Relevant industry experience, including experience in marketing/sales support at health care/insurance company, consultancy/brokerage, or similar experience in a related industry (e.g., financial services). Experience identifying and integrating secondary research to drive marketing communications strategy development.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong promotional writing skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Strong oral and written communications skills with knowledge of grammar and composition principles to create effective writing for diverse audiences

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong ability to develop and execute results-driven communications
