About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Mobile UX Designer with a demonstrable experience of designing iOS applications to join our team in Houston, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated individual who is eager to contribute to innovative projects and drive user-centered design solutions. We require a candidate at this level to have strong interpersonal and listening skills, critical thinking with a business aptitude, and the ability to handle multiple tasks while iterating quickly. You will collaborate daily with a diverse set of specialists, including web designers, solution engineers, project managers, business stakeholders and developers to deliver engaging digital experiences.
This is an on-site position for a role based in Downtown Houston, Texas.
Responsibilities:Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in UX designExperience with large cross-functional teamsExperience designing for large, complex, digital application projectsUnderstanding of iOS Human Interface GuidelinesFluency with iOS design languageExperience working with iOS developersProficiency in designing and prototyping in FigmaStrong typographic and data visualization skillsStrong communication skillsBFA in Design or a related field preferredMust work from Downtown Houston location 5 days per weekBackground in the Oil & Gas industry is a plus, but not requiredRequirements:
Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to design intuitive, usable, and engaging mobile experiences.Gather requirements and analyze data to inform design decisions.Quickly iterate on design solutions based on feedback and changing requirements, ensuring the final product meets user needs and business goals.Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate design concepts and solutions.Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and user-centered design approach.Ability to travel (~once/month) with team as needed, depending on project requirements.Plan and conduct usability tests to gather feedback on design iterations and refine solutions based on user feedback.Create and maintain design documentation and specification to hand off to development team.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented design team.
