The Role
As a
Senior UX Researcher , you will be instrumental in driving business strategy by deeply understanding the needs of our end-users. You will conduct rigorous, in-person research to uncover hidden opportunities and inform the development of cutting-edge tools and processes.
ResponsibilitiesTactical and Generative Research:
Lead the design and execution of both tactical and generative research initiatives to address critical business challenges and identify emerging opportunities.In-Depth User Understanding:
Conduct in-person UX research, including user interviews, work shadows, focus groups, and usability tests, to gain a deep understanding of user behaviors, pain points, and workflows within the complex oil and gas industry.Data-Driven Insights:
Collect, analyze, and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to uncover actionable insights that inform product strategy and design.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including scientists, engineers, and product managers, to translate user research findings into actionable recommendations.Research Advocacy:
Champion the value of user-centered design and research within the organization, influencing decision-making and driving a culture of innovation.Qualifications
Advanced degree in Anthropology, Psychology, Human Factors, Information Science, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience
conducting complex,
generative research
projects.Proven ability to design and
execute in-person UX research methodologies, including user interviews, work shadows, focus groups, and usability tests.Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate research findings into clear, compelling narratives.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.Passion for understanding complex technical domains and a genuine interest in the energy industry.Ability to work
onsite 4-5 days per week in Houston, TX campus is essential .The target hiring compensation range for this role is $50 to $70. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. Additional benefits offered may include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in 401k plan with company match.
