POSITION SUMMARY:

The Marketing Director is a professional leader responsible for leading, overseeing and guiding all marketing efforts at Mid-Del Technology Center (MDTC). This role involves developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies, coordinating marketing activities, and creating a robust marketing plan to enhance MDTC's visibility and growth. The Marketing Director will lead both the traditional and non-traditional marketing efforts ranging from print materials, digital media, social media, website, and community events to ensure alignment with MDTC's strategic plan and goals while maintaining high standards across all delivery arms.

This role also involves guiding the leadership team in the development of important technology center documents and opportunities, including CareerTech's accreditation application, post-accreditation monitoring, and Tech Center grants and OkACTE awards for MDTC and its staff.

This position works on a 235-day contract (12 months) with a daily schedule of 7:30am-4:00pm (some evenings & weekends required).

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree

from a four-year college or university in Marketing and Communications or a related field,

or

at least

5 years of recent experience

in marketing, including developing content.Knowledge of the CareerTech System strongly preferred.Experience working with and managing digital media, social media platforms and website content.Supervisory and project management experience preferred.Strong strategic thinking, planning, attention to detail and organizational skills.Outstanding written & verbal interpersonal and customer service skills.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and implement a robust marketing plan encompassing traditional and non-traditional methods, including print materials, digital media, social media, website management, and community events.Maintain high standards across all marketing channels, ensuring consistency with MDTC's brand identity.Lead and motivate the marketing/hospitality team while fostering a work environment of collaboration, high performance and positivity while providing excellent customer service to our clients.Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote MDTC's offerings and initiatives.Create a detailed budget plan that outlines expected costs for campaigns, events, advertising, and other marketing activities, manage the marketing budget and regularly review and adjust the budget based on campaign performance and emerging MDTC opportunities.Serve as the MDTC representative and actively engage in CareerTech statewide marketing meetings, local marketing meetings and community events.Coordinate and attend events to take photographs and gather necessary information to post across our social media platforms and website as well as send press releases to the appropriate outlets when necessary. Keep the website and marketing channels up to date with current information.Serve on the MDTC Leadership Team and actively engage in leadership team meetings, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making.Manage and guide the leadership team in the development of CareerTech's accreditation application, post accreditation monitoring, Tech Center grants/financial opportunities as well as OKACTE awards for MDTC and its staff.Other duties as assigned.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, schedule form, or blueprint form.

To ensure continuity of services, remote work may be necessary in the event of a health crisis or disruptive situation that requires the closing of school and/or office buildings. Expectations and guidelines for remote work will be distributed by the employee's supervisor, based on his/her role and responsibilities.
