Manages relationships and expectations within the product team, clearly and proactively communicating at milestones and critical conversations.Presents data behind design decisions so that all stakeholders understand the "why" behind those decisions.Shares work early and often with the design team, design organization and product team, work is critiqued by product designer, product managers/owners and engineering.Demonstrated use of Agile processes and tools including Jira, Confluence, etc.Participates in all Product Team Events, Sprint Planning, Daily Standup, Retrospective, Refinement, PI Planning and any required workshops.Builds empathy for the user and their context across the cross-functional product team.Innovation:

Contributes to the cross-functional product team collaborations that creates forward thinking ideas, innovative user experiences and intellectual capital that has a positive market outcome.Responsibility to Others:

Participates in activities that give back to the community through design associations, community service projects or volunteering.Actively involved in recruiting early career designers.Proactively finds a mentor.Leadership:

Demonstrated product design skills including software development lifecycle, user-centered design, design thinking, design principles, heuristics, design testing, user feedback and iterative design.Demonstrated UX skills such as identifying users, interviewing users, sketching, iterating, wireframing, receiving feedback, and incorporating feedback.Stays abreast of changing UX design methodologies and tools, as well as corporate, organizational, and industry standards to ensure we deliver high quality products.Applies design principles to product design outcomes.Demonstrated application of the UI standards and design systems.Contributes ubiquitous UI patterns to the Radial Design System.Understands how design processes fit into the Software Development Lifecycle.Uses metaphor/analogy to build user empathy and understanding.Work demonstrates empathy and understanding for the impact that product designs have on the user and the intended emotional response.Required Job Skills:

Bachelor's or Master's degree preferred OR equivalent professional experience.3+ years of professional experience.An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating your user-centered design craft, user research methods, visualizations of complex experiences, storytelling, sketches, mock-ups, prototypes, etc.Competencies:

Ability to operate in ambiguous environments, determine an actionable plan and move forward.Enjoys great design debates and thrives on iterating based on feedback.Experienced working in a fast-paced software development environment.Leads by example with a positive attitude and collaborative inclusive working style.Developing as a T-shaped designer with evidence of near mastery of one design or research discipline and beginning to develop skills in complementary design discipline.Naturally curious with demonstrated excellence in critical thinking and tackling complex situations and problems.Demonstrated excellence in written/verbal communication skillsDemonstrated experience using modern design tools.Compensation: $85,000 - $115,000

CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Compensation packages are based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, certifications, and work location.
