Job Description

Purpose:

The Head of Marketing, Teliso-V is responsible for driving marketing strategy and execution for AbbVie’s anticipated product launch within NSCLC. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role requires a strategic leader who leverages data, analytics, and market insights to guide all marketing initiatives. The Head of Marketing will collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including sales, MABI, medical, agencies, and precision medicine, to ensure seamless execution and alignment with broader business goals.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing vision, strategy, and resource allocation plan for Teliso V that aligns with AbbVie’s broader business objectives.

Marketing Leadership: Lead all facets of marketing for Teliso V, including HCP (Healthcare Professional), consumer, peer-to-peer, and medical expert engagement.

Collaborative Alignment: Lead the cross-functional integrated brand team (IBT) and ensure a very focused and aligned approach.

Team Development: Inspire, lead, and develop direct and cross-functional teams, cultivating a high-performance culture in line with AbbVie’s Talent Philosophy and Ways of Working.

Promotional Execution: Continuously analyze market dynamics, customer needs, and business priorities to adjust strategies and ensure market-leading outcomes.

Business Planning: Formulate, execute, and adapt business plans to achieve key performance indicators, including financial targets and market share growth.

Decision-Making: Use wealth of experience and knowledge of Oncology and marketing to make high quality strategic decisions that benefit patients and AbbVie.

Partnership Influence: Effectively influence and persuade internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy-in across all levels.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred

Industry Experience: Minimum of 10 years in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with oncology experience preferred

Leadership Experience: Minimum of 5 years leading large teams and/or other people leaders

Cross-Functional Expertise: Proven experience in cross-functional roles, including sales, market access, or medical affairs

Marketing Proficiency: Deep understanding of marketing principles, including insights, segmentation, positioning, value proposition, business model innovation, creative development, and investment optimization

Business Acumen: Strong business planning skills and a keen understanding of market dynamics

Leadership Presence: Ability to clearly and succinctly articulate a strategy to its simplest form while leading a cross-functional team in understanding and addressing critical details

Strategic Thinker: High level of critical thinking and strategic mindset

Culture Architect: Skilled in creating and sustaining a positive, high-energy work environment where the best ideas are heard and brought to the forefront

Inclusive Leadership: Exceptional ability to build trust and confidence quickly with diverse stakeholder groups by demonstrating humility and humanity

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.​
