About the Job:

SHE-CAN (Supporting Her Education Changes A Nation) is seeking a full-time Marketing Coordinator to join our growing team in Mill Valley. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator's responsibilities include executing our marketing and communications outreach and supporting SHE-CAN's annual gala as well as smaller events leading up to the gala.

About SHE-CAN

SHE-CAN is a global non-profit organization that builds female global leadership in post-conflict countries. We help passionate young leaders win scholarships to U.S. colleges and universities, provide leadership training, and pair them with U.S. mentor teams who help them thrive in college and launch change-agent careers at home. To date, we have helped 119 young women from Rwanda, Cambodia, Liberia, and Guatemala win $37M+ in full scholarships at top U.S. colleges. When fully staffed, the organization has 15 full-time employees, one part-time, and four in-country Coordinators. There are seven members of the Board of Directors. The annual budget in FY 2022/23 was $1.8M, and FY 2023/24 was $2.0M. SHE-CAN's annual gala raised $1.3M last year. SHE-CAN has 600 mentors and over 100 volunteers across the U.S. SHE-CAN has established formal relationships with 12 top U.S. colleges that provide full-ride scholarships for our scholars. Responsibilities:

With the direction of our Marketing Manager, and support of our Development Director, responsibilities include:

Communications: Execute the communications program including email newsletters, social media, impact report, and annual fundraising appeals.Public Relations: Help build visibility of the SHE-CAN program and brand by securing traditional and new media publicity.Revolution 2.0: Serve as Event Support for our annual gala, Revolution 2.0. Along with your team, manage external vendors, execute event timeline, and event messaging and communications. Help manage video development and scholar participation.Events: Manage and/or support 4-8 small fundraising cocktail/dinner parties per year as well as SHE-CAN's Community Meeting, Virtual Commencement, and other parties and events as assigned.Top Priorities:

Excellent Writer: Adept at crafting compelling narratives.Media Savvy: Successful at creating effective marketing and PR materials that result in growing awareness and prestige.Event Savvy: Skilled at planning and executing small and large events.Required:

Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.Experience in design management with a proficiency in Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)Bachelor's degree (or similar experience) in marketing, communications, or a similar field2-3 years professional experience

Benefits and Compensation

Hours: This is a 40-hour-a-week, salaried position, Monday-Friday, 9:30-5:30. Remote work is optional on Monday and Friday; Tuesday-Thursday are in-person at our Mill Valley office. Note: The in-person aspect of this job is non-negotiable. Candidates must live in the San Francisco Bay Area within a reasonable commute time of our office. The in-person aspect of this role is essential for effective collaboration. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required, but we strive to keep this to a minimum.

Compensation: The salary for this position ranges from $66,500-$68,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
