LOCATION:

The Public Relations Account Supervisor – Consumer Lifestyle PR is part of our FINN Partners NY, NY Office’s Consumer Lifestyle and Sports Public Relations practice.

This is a hybrid work role, working 3 days in office and two days from home, so we seek qualified current NYC metro area residents as applicants.

We have one job opening – it can either be filled at this PR AS level, or at a PR Associate VP (see that separate job ad for details and that salary range).

We seek a leader to join us who is passionate about communications, ready to roll up their sleeves, and contribute to the success of the team. This is an opportunity to work with exciting clients (active outdoor brands and destinations, sports, food and beverage, wellness, consumer lifestyle), where you will supervise planning and execution of client programs, and you will help our executives to grow new PR business.

You will work with regional, national and international consumer public relations clients. Applicants must have 4+ years of prior consumer public relations agency-based experience to effectively manage and grow PR client campaigns and deliver excellent media results for our clients. The Account Supervisor will lead and cultivate the career mentorship of PR staff members.

The role will report to and collaborate directly with Senior Partners in our CLS PR practice.

Now that we’ve hopefully sold you on us, let’s talk more about this role:

Responsibilities:

Supervise the execution of integrated and successful public relations campaigns/programs that exceed client goals.

Maintain clear and consistent communications; provide proper direction and counsel; and offer problem-solving solutions to clients.

Support our sr. leadership team in creating and implementing PR strategies that develop and expand client relationships.

Lead internal PR teams and drive their growth; provide proper feedback and guidance; motivate to be creative and achieve excellent results.

Review and develop press materials, including but not limited to press releases, media advisories, key messages, Q&As, and executive remarks.

Execute the overall communications media strategy for clients.

Utilize excellent contacts to secure consistent media coverage across a wide range of consumer, sports, business, lifestyle, and news publications.

Establish new media contacts to expand reach across print, online, TV, social, radio and podcasts

Support our sr. leadership team in their activities that generate new business opportunities and secure new clients (such as conducting research; participating in development of new business presentations; contributing to develop of RFPs that showcase our unique capabilities and proven results).

Requirements:

4+ years of prior PR leadership roles focused on consumer public relations strategies and program execution.

Bachelor's degree in public relations, or communications related field required.

Proven history of leading PR teams to drive outstanding results and deliverables.

Results-driven media relations experience with many top-tier national and trade outlets; proven history of media placements and established contacts.

Ability to develop and execute successful media relations programs.

Excellent writing and editing skills (familiar with AP style).

Strong communications skills, project management capabilities and proven problem-solving ability

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet all deadlines

Effectively work as part of a team, share information freely and support the common goals of the group.

Salary range is $75,000 - $89,000. The salary offered will be commensurate with the selected candidate’s experience and dependent upon the workplace.
