User Experience (UX) Designer - Electrophysiology

Contract Duration 10+ monthsOnsite (some flexibility)

Job Summary:

Come join a growing team of Human Factors Engineers and Designers, working on emerging cardiac ablation technologies. This role will lead the design of next-generation cardiac ablation products, shaping the experience of its users.Leading an active lifestyle is important to the many people we serve.In the client's Electrophysiology (EP) division, we're advancing the treatment of heart and vascular disease through breakthrough medical technologies, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

Position Responsibilities:

Provide subject-matter expertise and direction on leveraging new user interaction technologies, to create compelling user experiences that solve customer needs.Participate in exploratory design research to identify user needs and opportunities to meet user needs.Create experience journey maps, storyboards, wireframes, and other UX design deliverables.Translate user needs to product design concepts and usability requirements.Lead creative concept processes and contribute to the creation, prioritization and selection of alternative concepts.Create UI designs for embedded and web software systems that meet customer and business needs.Solidify and refine design concepts with design specifications to communicate concepts.and designs for internal partners.Develop prototypes to explore and validate product design concepts.Participate in usability testing, documenting findings, and making design recommendations.

Required Qualifications:

M.S degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, Interaction Design, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related discipline.2+ years of relevant user-interface design experience (e.g., UX/Interaction Design/Visual Design/Digital Product Design) in commercial product development.Strong experience in interaction design, utilizing wireframing, and rapid prototyping.Experience in information architecture for software design, including embedded software.Strong conceptualization ability and strong visual communication ability.Experience with UX analysis methods and deliverables, to structure user research insights - e.g., personas, user journey maps, affinity diagrams.Experience with conceptualizing and developing new concepts for addressing user insights and unmet user needs.Experience in iterating design based on insights and leveraging data in a way that informs design decisions.In-depth knowledge of design and prototyping tools, e.g., Photoshop, Adobe XD, InDesign, Sketch, and InVision.Strong creative problem-solving skills.10% Travel.

Preferred Qualifications and Education:

Expertise in planning, conducting, analyzing, and reporting design research and usability testing, summarizing results, and synthesizing insights.Experience in medical device development.Able to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, keep organized, and multitask.Ability to quickly assimilate complex domain knowledge.

Notes:

Will be onsite the majority time, but some flexibility as needed.Candidates need to be local. Need to be able to collaborate cross-functionally.
