Ideally Hybrid in Rochester NY, or Orange CT.A leading energy and utility company focused on delivering clean energy solutions, is seeking a Hybrid Principal UX Designer to join their team. They have been operating for over 100 years and currently serve over 2.5 million customers across half of the states in the US. The company has over 5,000 employees, including almost 50 software developers and 4 designers, including the Head of Design, Jordan. They are headquartered in Orange, Connecticut, with several offices in Rochester (NY), Binghamton (NY), Boston, Berkshire (Mass), and Portland, Maine, among others. They ideally would like somebody based near one of those locations, preferably Rochester NY or Orange CT.This person will be responsible for driving decision-making, running workshops, and guiding various design projects, including enhancing the company’s design systems and improving accessibility features. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Figma, have substantial experience with design systems, and be capable of both strategic thinking and hands-on design work. The team consists of 4 other designers. They have 8 companies under them that all do energy solutions, all with their own stakeholders, and they will be revamping a few of their websites, optimizing payment flows, revamping the design system, and more. The company is moving towards 3 to 5 days a week in office, with Rochester or Orange CT preferred, but it seems to be at the discretion of the hiring manager.Requirements
At least 5+ years of relevant Product or UX Design experienceExperience rebuilding or revamping Design Systems, payment flows, and/or data visualizationExperience designing new features from inception to launch (end to end)Proficiency in FigmaProven experience driving decision-making and stakeholder conversationsResponsibilities
Collaborating with Senior and Junior designers.Leading and completing product design activities with the product development team.Ensuring all the design work is aligned to our design team.Giving constructive feedback to other UX Designers on the team.Presenting work to our leadership team.The Offer Salary and Benefits: The base salary for this position ranges from
$110,000 to $150,000 , depending on experience.
