This role, as a key member of the senior leadership team, will play a crucial part in shaping our objectives, programs, and policies related to public communications and marketing. The successful candidate will not only lead the Marketing and Communications department but also align its strategy with the cooperative's overarching goals, making a significant impact on our mission.

We are seeking candidates with the following: bachelor's degree or equivalent credits in business administration, management, marketing, sales, or related studies; ten years of successful management, leadership, and/or supervisory experience or equivalent of education and experience. The knowledge needed includes an understanding of cooperative philosophy, accounting, finance, transmission, distribution, electric controls and technologies, survey analysis, advertising, communications, sales management, and marketing. Understanding the electric utility industry is highly preferred. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Essential Duties Responsibilities include:

Provides organizational leadership and direction to SSVEC's Marketing and Communications Staff.

Creates and executes innovative marketing and public relations strategies in alignment with the cooperative's goals.

Actively supports SSVECs Mission, Vision, Values, and Strategic Goals.

Acts as a spokesman for SSVEC, cultivating good working relationships.

Works with local, state, and federal elected officials and their staff.

Acts as a liaison to the senior leaders on Fort Huachuca.

Develops and coordinates energy and safety-related programs beneficial to the cooperative and its members.

Supervise the development, implementation, and reporting of Arizona Corporation Commission (ACC) programs.
