Increase your chances of an interview by reading the following overview of this role before making an application.Requisition Number: 40479Salary: $148,171-$194,953 annuallyPosition Description:The Digital Foundry sets the strategy for a portfolio of enterprise-wide products and platforms enabling the activities of administrative and academic stakeholders across the university. The Digital Foundry team facilitates and conducts quality assurance, testing, release management, application lifecycle management, and UI/UX for core enterprise technologies ensuring functionality, quality, business value, user-experience, and digital accessibility of the products and platforms meet the expectations of the campus community.The Digital Foundry fuels ITS' cloud-first strategy by strategically reducing technical debt in partnership with other departments and teams leveraging cutting-edge techniques to accelerate releases using automation and application lifecycle management standards and tools. Human Centered Design and Digital Accessibility understands the university, its stakeholders, and their technology needs and desires to inform the design of products, platforms, departmental or functional processes, digital solutions, and IT services through extensive UI/UX research and development.Key Responsibilities:- Assess and enable accessibility of software, enterprise applications, and electronic/digital resources.- Conduct accessibility reviews, enable compliance with accessibility standards, execute ongoing analysis, and support end-user training/awareness.- Oversee UI, UX, and accessibility work for a wide range of products, platforms, applications, and technologies that impact teaching, learning, research, and administration for the university's students, faculty, and staff.- Manage a team of talented UX designers, UX researchers, and UI developers.- Drive the team's strategy to ensure exceptional user experience, including accessibility, for the technologies managed by the IT organization.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product/application development, DevOps, and Quality Assurance/Release Management, to ensure successful implementation and upgrade of human-centered technology solutions.This role will positively impact UCLA's operations and culture by ensuring products and applications are human-centered, efficient, and effective in service of the university's academic mission. This team member will advance the University's mission by delivering exceptional information technology services comprehensively and consistently across faculty, staff, and students.Special Instructions:This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that includes regular visits to campus as needed (for those who work remotely, travel/lodging expenses are not eligible for reimbursement).
