Description: M&C Saatchi is a full-service creative communications agency operating across lifestyle, sport, entertainment, fashion, technology, culinary, and spirits. We specialize in campaigns that are disseminated through earned media, relying on creativity, strategy, and cultural relevance to infiltrate consumer circles in lieu of paid spends (although we do create paid assets on occasion). The agency is responsible for executing creative campaigns from ideation through to design, production, and execution. Our creative studio delivers output that includes still, video, print, experiential, and many more. Our clients include The Coca-Cola Company, Red Bull, PUMA, Adidas, Oakley, Busch Light, Hendrick’s, Glenfiddich, Powerade, BODYARMOR, The New York Times, among many others.Position DescriptionWe are seeking a Design Director to aid in the development and delivery of creative projects on behalf of agency clients. Working into the agency’s Executive Creative Director, this individual will lead design and visual development across all creative projects, from pitch through to execution. This will include deck development, creating campaign identities, hero asset development, sell-in comps, and much more, across both external and internal initiatives. Lastly, the Design Director will be responsible for overseeing the design portion of the studio itself, managing the briefing process, billing, and other managerial duties.You could be a great fit if you…… are a conceptual thinker who uses art direction and design as your medium. This is about design as both science and art. Yes, we are looking for someone who can bring concepts to life visually, wholistically, starting with the raw concept and molding the idea’s visual identity so that it is creatively unique, suits the concept’s narrative, and responds to strategic prompts captured in the brief.… possess an encyclopedic knowledge of visual and cultural references to help inspire thinking and communicate concepts. You must also be well-versed on industry-leading or innovating creators of past and present – both as a means to inspire creative references and as potential collaborative partners on campaigns. As a student of culture, you’re always building on this knowledge base, mining the relevant spaces for references.… are unafraid to design for assets for most, if not all mediums. Assets may include, but are not limited to, graphic assets, photoshoots, posters, film credits, print/zines, digital layouts/lookbooks, microsites, experiential elements, invites, presentations, social content, and much more.
