Arts & Humanities/Social SciencesThe Department of Communication Studies at the University of Denver seeks to hire a 3/4 Visiting Teaching Assistant Professor for two quarters of the 2024-2025 academic year, beginning in January 2025. Fulfillment of this position is contingent on available funding. This position may be extended beyond 2024-2025 depending on need, funding, and performance.Position SummaryThe person hired for this position will teach six courses over the winter and spring quarters. Primary responsibilities during 2024-2025 will include teaching undergraduate general education and communication studies major courses. Ability to teach the introductory Practicing Communication and Theorizing Communication courses is preferred.Essential FunctionsTeach six in-person courses including undergraduate general education and communication studies major coursesHold office hours each week outside of scheduled class timeKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesExcellent communication skills for classroom teaching and student mentoringAbility to communicate effectively with students, staff, and facultyTeaching experienceAbility to use an online learning management systemRequired Qualifications:MA in Communication Studies or related disciplineTeaching experiencePreferred Qualifications:University level teaching experience in communication studiesApplication DeadlineFor best consideration, please submit your application materials by
