The multimedia artist studio for Doug Aitken is looking for a part or full-time designer based in Los Angeles to work on the development of new projects, taking conceptual proposals to fully realized artworks.
Do you have the following skills, experience and drive to succeed in this role Find out below.Projects will vary from wall sculptures and installations to architectural structures and exhibition design.Candidates need to produce drawing sets, create proposals, renderings, visualization, and develop final designs. The ideal candidate will be an organized, intuitive problem solver with excellent communication skills, able to multi-task and manage time well in a fast-paced studio environment. The candidate should have strong instincts, good judgment, and be a self-starter. This person must be detail-oriented and possess a developed aesthetic sensibility.Qualifications:Collaborate with the artist to develop the artist’s designs from sketches to buildable artworksProduce 3D models and concept renderingsProduce a clear drawing setAbility to work quickly, creatively, and efficiently to produce high-quality considered imagesAttention to compositional detailBe highly organized and a self-starter, able to multi-task and work within tight deadlines2-3 years of related working experience with expertise in Rhino, VRay, and Adobe SuiteKnowledge of Cinema 4D, Maya, or ZBrush is a plusKnowledge of photography is a plusFlexibility for part-time workUndergrad or Graduate architectural degree idealPlease send a cover letter, CV, and portfolio as a single PDF by August 15, 2024 to studio@dougaitkenworkshop.com
