Format Architecture Office is looking for an Architect/Designer with minimum 3 years of post-graduate office experience to join our Brooklyn office. We are a small firm, so candidates should have an interest in working on a broad range of project types and scales and should be comfortable contributing in all phases of the project delivery process from design through construction. About the position:

• Work collaboratively within the office to develop design options, prepare presentations, and to attend client meetings
• Assist in the production of construction documents, including coordinating with larger consultant teams
• Attend site visits during construction and interface directly with contractors
• Includes full-time salary in the $70,000 - $85,000 range commensurate with skills and relevant experience, 401k (with employer match), holidays, PTO, summer Fridays
• Position would start immediately

About you:

• Strong graphic and communication skills
• Eager to learn and problem solve
• Self-motivated and able to proactively develop design ideas, research products, coordinate with consultants, and prepare drawing sets
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• 3 years minimum prior experience at an architectural firm working in all phases of the design, documentation, and construction process, ideally on projects from start to finish
• Professional Degree in Architecture

Essential skills + qualifications:

• Revit proficiency is required (all projects in the office are documented in Revit)
• Rhino, Vray, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite proficiency preferred
• This is a full-time, in-person position and candidates must live in the NYC area
• Must have legal authorization to work in the US
