Job Description

The Commercial Product & Platform vision develops global technology products and platforms that delight our customers and enable our crews to operate our restaurants reliably and efficiently.

The Manager, Technical Lead supports the Technical Product Management leadership in technical / IT related delivery topics (e.g., trade-offs in implementation approaches, tech stack selection) and provides technical guidance for developers/squad members/vendors! Owns the output (quality and efficiency) of external vendor squads to ensure they are delivering to the standards required by McD. Participate in roadmap and backlog preparation. Builds and maintains technical process flows and solution architecture diagrams on Product level. Leads acceptance criteria creation and validation of development work.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Support Product feature definition and tech debt backlog preparation:

In partnership with the product team, participate in roadmap and backlog prioritization, providing technical perspectives towards translating Epic into user stories for the Develop team to work on, as well as backlog grooming process.

Responsible for handling tech debt backlog and driving scalable solution to support business needs.

Attend all team agile ceremonies and act as leader of the Software Development/build team.

Lead technical solutioning and development of features.

Accountable for the deployment of new features, QA, push to production and defect remediation.

Ensure code development is in line with the architectural, quality and security standards and best practices.

Maintain documentation standards for all software and lead acceptance criteria validation of development work.

Ensure product delivery is done to a high standard with dedication across latency and scalability, extensibility and security

Own the output (quality and efficiency) of external vendor squads to ensure delivery within McD standards and best practices.

Build and maintain reporting to supervise defect and code quality.

Continuous Improvement and Feedback

Champion a culture of continuous improvement by soliciting feedback from customers, internal partners, and team members.

Use feedback to iterate on the product roadmap, prioritize enhancements, and drive product innovation over time

Identify core problems or opportunities within business processes. Understand the root cause and impacts for the project and other teams.

Support training of internal and external technical resources to encourage end user understanding and adoption of DMB global solution.
