Art Director

Our client is seeking an experienced and creative Art Director to join our dynamic team in Edison, NJ. The Art Director will be responsible for leading and overseeing the visual design and packaging efforts for our personal care products. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in packaging design, a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar field, and strong leadership skills to manage and mentor one other designer.Key Responsibilities:Lead and direct the creative process for packaging design and visual branding, product development, and other teams to ensure design solutions meet strategic objectives and brand standards.Oversee and mentor a junior designer, providing guidance, feedback, and support to enhance their professional growth and project outcomes.Develop and maintain a consistent visual identity for the brand across all packaging and marketing materials.Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications and quality standards.Stay current with industry trends, design techniques, and technological advancements to keep the brand’s design approach innovative and competitive.Prepare and present design concepts and proposals to internal stakeholders and, when necessary, external partners or clients.Ensure all designs comply with legal and regulatory requirements relevant to packaging and product labeling.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in graphic design with a strong focus on packaging design.Proven experience leading design projects and managing design teams.Exceptional creative skills with a strong portfolio showcasing innovative packaging solutions and visual branding.Proficiency in design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other relevant design tools.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
