Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail oriented 'Director of Creative Operations – Packaging' to lead our clients global packaging initiatives for high-profile product lines, CRM, and educational materials.

This role requires a deep understanding of project management, including timelines, scope, and budgets, to ensure seamless execution of packaging projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate excels in managing multiple priorities, communicates effectively, and thrives in a collaborative environment, while overseeing a Packaging Program Manager.

Key Responsibilities:Oversee the development and execution of packaging concepts and strategies.Create and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation, aligning with business objectives.Supervise the approval process for concepts, copy, layouts, final artwork, and proofs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.Maintain project momentum through effective timeline management, issue tracking, and regular status updates.Coordinate resource allocation and prioritise projects in collaboration with other team members.Lead meetings and presentations, providing clear communication of creative work to stakeholders.Report progress to senior management, address issues promptly, and ensure alignment with project goals.Stay abreast of industry trends and integrate innovative and sustainable packaging solutions.Manage and mentor a Packaging Program Manager, fostering their growth and performance.

Qualifications:Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management within a creative or agency setting.Demonstrated experience in packaging project management, including design, development, and implementation.Proficiency with project management tools such as Wrike.Strong collaboration skills with both creative and marketing teams.In-depth knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and sustainability practices.Excellent budgeting, cost management, and financial reporting capabilities.Experience presenting to senior leadership and leading high-level meetings.Adaptable and capable of navigating ambiguous situations.Proven track record of managing complex projects, including budget and timeline management.Experienced in client-facing roles and leading teams.Exceptional problem-solving and conflict management skills.

Additional Notes:This position is open to candidates who are already based in New York City.Sponsorship and relocation assistance are not available for this role.
