Our client,
one of the most well known apparel retail company
is looking for someone to join their team as an
Assistant Designer in San Francisco, California. This role will be a 100% onsite.
*This is a 2 month W2 contract*
In this role, you will be
preparing
basic flat sketch designs,
assisting
with basic specification of products and assisting with color BOMS. You will also be
attending
fitting sessions with the manager.
What You Will Be DoingMake revisions to sketch & design package as neededAssist in researching the local marketFollow up of product design process which includes preparation of technical packages & presentation boards, understand of PDM process and email correspondenceResponsible for trimming supplies and/or working with the Trim Department to keep abreast of current ideas
Required Skills & ExperienceBasic product and fabric knowledgeBasic understanding of garment constructionBasic design and color senseCollege degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred1 year of design experience (summer jobs, internships, etc.)
