About the Department:

AB is a leading global investment management firm that offers high-quality research and diversified investment services to institutional clients, individuals and private clients in major markets around the world.

The Client Group is one of AB's largest strategic business units, with functions that range considerably throughout the firm. The program will ultimately expose the Associate to the lifecycle of an investment product, from the initial generation of the idea to researching interest in the marketplace to crafting our message and finally, distributing our products and servicing our Institutional and Retail clients

The Client Group Summer Internship Program provides students with opportunities to learn about business development, client service, sales and specific strategies we offer to clients, as well as the opportunity to develop their communication, networking and problem-solving skills. Summer Internships are available through the following tracks:

Marketing (or Client Services) Internship

Projects in:

Marketing: promotes the firm and its services by creating, packaging and distributing content and messaging to engage diverse audiences through digital platforms and initiatives, strategic campaigns, and eventsSales & Client Services: works with financial advisors and institutions to offer diversified investment solutions that help clients build and preserve their wealth.Responsibilities

Partnering with agencies in the creation of brand positioning and communication strategiesGenerating brand activation ideas and strategies based on consumer insightsAnalysis of brand performance, competitor performance and channel dynamics.Development of communications plans in support of new product launches and promotional eventsSupport of innovation teams in consumer analysis, concept development and graphics developmentJob Qualifications

Candidates should be top academic performers, be interested in the investment management industry and meet the following criteria:

Spring 2026 Bachelor's degree candidates in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, UX Design, Product Development, Audiovisual Communication Technologies, and/or related fields of studyCumulative GPA of 3.0 or betterEligible to work in the US, without sponsorshipStrong analytical and communication skillsDetail-oriented, ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently while also being a strong team playerClient-focused with a high degree of professionalism, motivation and initiativeCandidates must be available to work full-time from June through August.It is not permissible to simultaneously take academic classes or hold other employment that will conflict with the internship schedule.Selected candidates will need to successfully complete a thorough background check.Preferred Skills

Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications, Adobe XD & Creative Cloud, Smartsheet, Miro, UserZoom, Medallia a plus (if you have sample work, be prepared to share)Relevant marketing experience (on-or-off campus; either through part time jobs, academic clubs, or volunteer experiences)Unique experiences that demonstrate creative instinct, passion for marketing and deep consumer empathyPassion for consumer brandsFamiliarity with digital media platformsStrong analytical skillset with ability to find actionable, pragmatic solutions to complex problemsExcellent storytelling and presentation skills
