Church Musician - pianist/organist

New Dorp Moravian Church on Staten Island (at Moravian Cemetery) is looking to fill a vacancy in its worship music program. Ideally, we are looking for an organist (part-time). We are also looking for a temporary part-time pianist. The pianist position has potential to go long-term. We worship in a traditional style on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m.

The musician will need to be on-site and ready at 9:00 a.m. each Sunday to work with our small choir of about six persons. Special seasons and events (Christmas, Easter, etc.) will involve additional investments of time. Pay will be commensurate with abilities and responsibilities. We are currently paying substitute pianists $200 per week. The long-term organist position was recently paying $30,000 annually. The ability to play other instruments is a plus as are other abilities such as ability to teach, to recruit, to organize a music library, and the ability to select music appropriate for the worship service of the day.
