Clothing Technical Design and Production Coordination Associate

V. Chapman is a women's clothing brand that specializes in occasion dresses. We work in a fast-paced environment with a small but growing team. We are looking for a Technical Design and Production Coordination Associate who will assist our design team with the development of new product, and oversee our production. We are looking for someone who is responsible, hard working, organized, and detail-oriented. Excellent written & verbal communication skills, follow-up skills, math skills, and computer skills are a must.
As part of our design team, you will create and managing tech packs, inspect and measure fit samples upon arrival, and compile and communicate fit notes to our factories.
On the production management side, you will communicate with our factories daily - checking on purchase orders, following up with any ongoing issues, and making sure production is running on time. Additionally, you will create and process purchase orders, be responsible for their accuracy and completeness, and timely delivery to our factories.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience working in Adobe Illustrator, specifically in a technical design capacity, will able to work in and/or learn multiple EDI systems, create spreadsheets, and help with receiving and shipping of production.
We are looking for someone who has a positive attitude, is eager to learn, willing to be hands on, and work with a small team. Some knowledge of overseas clothing production is great too!
Qualifications:Bachelor's DegreeProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft ExcelProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Illustrator3+ years experience in a technical design role
