Role Overview:The CAD Manager will lead a team of CAD Designers, primarily working with AutoCAD Electrical and Autodesk Vault, to enhance the CAD operations. This role involves coordinating the work of up to ten CAD Designers, focusing on industrial control panel designs and maintaining controlled drawings and standards.
Key Responsibilities:Support the Engineering team in designing and documenting Electrical Schematics, PI&Ds, and panel layouts.Develop and maintain procedures to enforce CAD standards.Analyze and implement productivity enhancements and customizations, including automated quality checks.Provide technical expertise for transferring CAD data to the Production CNC machine.Train internal users on corporate CAD standards, new software, upgrades, and best practices.Offer production and technical support for all CAD software.Conduct regular CAD meetings to update the CAD Group on new information.Schedule CAD Designer resources for appropriate jobs.
Minimum Requirements:Education:
Two-year degree in CAD Technology.Experience:
Minimum of 10 years using AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical, with essential experience in UL508A Control Panel design.
