Your Job

The Sr. Manager, Social Media will take a "consumer-first" approach to lead the development and implementation of comprehensive social media strategies to engage consumers and grow GP's brands. This individual will effectively understand, reach and engage our target audiences through integrated media plans and breakthrough communication to improve awareness, connection and conversion of our brands across the paid social media, influencer marketing, and organic social media. This role requires one to apply critical thinking skills to solving business problems with a solutions-oriented approach while successfully navigating GP business processes, tools, resources, people and vision to maximize profitability and deliver business results.

Strategy (50%)
  • Lead development and execution of social media vision, strategies and channels for GP brands, including development of social-first campaigns that recruit new HH's, and align with broader business objectives & goals
  • Champion and accelerate adoption of emerging trends in culture, influencer marketing, paid social, organic social, and social commerce
  • Develop the social platform framework and strategic roadmap across TikTok, Meta, Pinterest & YouTube
  • Provide thought leadership to Brand teams, Sales teams & the Consumer Experience organization, including social and influencer marketing training for all relevant stakeholders, to help improve social media fluency
  • Build framework for social media analytics that provides data-driven insights, real-time marketing trends, performance management, and brand reputation risks
  • Collaborate closely with the Corporate Communications team to implement community management best practices
  • Create roadmaps and POV's to continue growing the social media capability
Influencer Ideation (25%)
  • Oversee both one-off and long-term creator partnerships, develop creator strategies and help manage partners in collaboration with Brand Teams and/or other relevant stakeholders
  • Manage Influencer agency partnerships
Team Management (15%)
  • Build an in-house team of social media specialists skilled in marketing strategy, social media analytics, social media technology platforms, creative, community management and paid/organic media
  • Oversee monthly reporting, analyze channel performance, and provide actionable insights to meet KPIs and accomplish growth goals
Content Management (10%)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally within organization to ensure necessary governance is in place to run social media programs and mitigate any undue reputational risk
  • Collaborate with creative teams to optimize content for social media
  • Ensure all brands have sufficient unique assets to sustain campaigns based on best practices POV
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree (or 4 years of social media experience)
  • Experience navigating Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube platforms in a professional setting
  • Experience with analytics and KPIs
What Will Put You Ahead
  • 3 years of experience building and managing campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube
  • Experience learning/adopting new tools
  • Knowledge of different digital media platforms, industry trends, key players, and digital media supply chain for multiple channels (programmatic, social, search)
  • 5 years of experience in media buying and/or planning at a CPG brand or media agency or other social buying platform is preferred
  • Experience working in matrixed organizations with multiple stakeholders and developing relationships with external partners and internal capabilities and influencing and securing alignment from brand leaders
