Take the next step in your career now, scroll down to read the full role description and make your application.CNN seeks a talented Associate Producer to join the CNN 10am-11am team!Your Role Accountabilities…Viewing and selecting the strongest and most accurate video elements (packages, sound-bites, B-roll, etc.) for a newscast.Communicating show needs with writers, producers, and assignment desks.Ordering and/or producing graphics, reporter packages, social media segments.Preparing editing requests and using technological tools to research and gather archive video.Ensuring all video elements are prepared properly for air and that media source records include accurate details.Working in the front row of the control room to communicate the status of video elements.Your Qualifications & Experience…Two years as an AP, writer/producer or producer in local news, cable or at the network level.Strong news awareness and production skills, with the ability to react quickly and calmly to breaking news situations.Ability to handle oneself professionally in changing and challenging situations.Knowledge of iNews is extremely beneficial.Understanding of graphics, social media and non-linear production is essential.Demonstrated strong editorial judgment and willingness to work whenever needed.Extremely flexible and willing to support breaking news and coverage needs in all day parts.Four-year degree or commensurate work experience.How We Get Things Done…This last bit is probably the most important!
