You thrive in the last-minute chaos of the event world, but can maintain internal processes and enjoy working closely with a cross-functional team.The Events & Experiential Graphic Designer is a hands-on role that works throughout the entire process. Once an approach has been approved by Events/Experiential, Brand and Compliance—this designer tackles everything from research on materials & site-specific environmental factors to conceptual, schematic designs & full execution of event materials. They will serve as a critical member of the Creative team, working closely with VP of Creative Services, Design Director, Creative Producer, Motion Designer, Events/Experiential team, and internal design team. When Events & Experiential projects are not in high demand, this role will assist on other comparable projects with the brand design team (ie. POS displays, field marketing materials).ResponsibilitiesCreating visually stunning event-focused & experiential elements for branded events and sponsorships; this includes creative & technical development of assets from ideation into 3D elements (renderings, drawings, schematics, models, mockups, floorplans) focusing on the overall design of physical spaces incorporating physical items and interactive elements (touchscreens, digital displays, projections, etc. if available) while considering wayfinding, flow, accessibility, and safetyDesign development and full final, error-free delivery of files for event/experiential materials utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Cinema 4D and other emerging software for event/experiential designsCollaborate with all necessary teams to create mockups to visualize intent for approval prior to executionEnsuring all materials created fit within brand standards and meet project-specific budgets, timelines and technical feasibility requirementsExecution of materials as directed by senior design leads, plus on-site visits for inspections, site surveys and execution at events as neededResearch and sourcing of necessary vendors & suppliers for fabrication as neededAdapting and optimizing event/experiential materials in a scalable fashion to ensure turnkey usageDemonstrating a keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality event/experiential deliverables that meet client requirements and exceed expectationsEnsure state guidelines and all compliance requirements are being metOrganize and maintain working & final files within current project management / file storage systems.Stay current with industry trends & best practices; continuously refining skills, quickly adapting to new technologies & exploring new techniques to push the boundaries of event/experiential designManage multiple projects & priorities while working multiple disciplines at onceQualificationsBachelor’s degree in an art/design/production field, preferredMinimum of 3+ years of experience as event & experiential designer, either within an advertising or design agency, firm, a production company, or an internal creative marketing teamMust work with a high sense of urgency & integrity; easily adapting to quick change; motivated by creative problem solving & shifting deadlinesExperience in designing for fully realized immersive environments and experiential projects, often with a portfolio showcasing successful work in this field; strong attention to detail & accuracy with a willingness to adapt to existing workflows, while also contributing suggestions for improvements; consumer goods, retail, and regulated industries preferredExpertise using Adobe Creative Cloud software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Cinema 4D and other emerging software for event/experiential designs; proficiency in all Microsoft software, project management software & cloud/non-cloud-based storage systemsHighly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently (w/ minimal supervision, receiving guidance from manager about the work & prioritization) and within teams with resourcefulness & common senseExcellent interpersonal communication (written & verbal) and project/time-management skillsStrong project management & organizational skills; ability to prioritize & manage the execution of multiple projects across multiple brandsPossesses a high level of critical thinking, continuously open to constructive, developmental feedbackInteracts regularly with VP, Creative Services & Design Director, plus Events/Experiential team, Brand Activation, the rest of the internal design team, and other cross-functional teams as needed for completion of assignmentsAdditional RequirementsAbility to work collaboratively with multi-functional core teams and strong personalities & top down leadership decisionsAdapts and thrives in a demanding, fast-paced environmentExtremely strong attention to detail, but comfort with ambiguityOperates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential informationFamiliarity with the cannabis industry, strongly encouragedMust understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Green ThumbMust have a solid understanding and/or come to master Cannabis compliance rules and regulations set forth by each StateMust pass any and all required background checksMust be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
