Read on to find out what you will need to succeed in this position, including skills, qualifications, and experience.Peloton is seeking a dynamic Director, Corporate Communications to help craft and implement communications strategies and activities that support and promote Peloton’s overall priorities across business, financial and B2B media, as well as help Peloton manage its brand reputation with consumers and investors. This person should be passionate about corporate communications, investor relations, strategic partnerships, emerging business, and the evolving media landscape; a creative, strategic thinker and problem-solver with an affinity for details; and have exceptional writing skills, work ethic and a positive, collaborative attitude.This position offers opportunities to participate in high-level strategic decision-making across Peloton’s business portfolio, and requires strong storytelling and analytical skills to work in partnership with the VP of Global Communications and comms team colleagues, team members across Peloton’s business portfolio, third-party agency partners, and select policymakers.YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTONWork with Comms leadership to devise and implement impactful communications plans, earned media strategies and materials to secure positive Peloton press coverage across business, financial and B2B media, both for tentpole moments and ongoing.Work closely with the IR team and communications leadership on financial/business announcements, quarterly earnings and key messaging.Build strategic relationships with business, financial and B2B outlets and influencers that will engender open dialogue with journalists to shape and inform media coverage.Serve as an advisor to and work in partnership with various Peloton business functions, including investor relations, emerging business, and brand marketing, to identify, vet, and proactively secure/reactively respond to press opportunities and inquiries.Draft press materials, including pitches, press releases and talking points, for wide range of business announcements.Coordinate with internal and external partners to align launches, initiatives and corporate landmarks with communications opportunities.Contribute to interview and speaking prep for executives, including the development of presentations, talking points, briefing documents, and other written and visual materials.Partner with VP, Global Communications and company leadership to strategically prepare for and respond to crisis situations and issues management.YOU BRING TO PELOTON10+ years of experience working in corporate communications and media relations, preferably at a high-profile public company and/or a reputable PR firm that represents publicly traded companies and handles strategy and crisis management; financial or investor relations experience also required.Proven people leader with thoughtful management philosophy and approach.Proven record of pitching and securing business-focused stories, and a deep understanding of the tech, business and finance sectors.Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.Confidence working with senior leadership.Experience doing scenario planning and crisis communications.Strong self-awareness with demonstrated emotional intelligence and professional maturity.Ability to work both independently and proactively, while also collaborating within a small enterprising team of communications professionals.Great at organizational navigation and cross-functional collaboration at all levels.Ability to bring new thinking and ideas to the communications team.Must be able to flex with the needs/direction of the business.Calm under pressure.Highly organized, great attention to detail and ability to ruthlessly prioritize.COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSThe base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
