Please ensure you read the below overview and requirements for this employment opportunity completely.As a member of the properties Executive Committee, the Director of Sales & Marketing is a highly visible role with exposure to Senior and Corporate leadership.The Director of Sales & Marketing has direct oversight of the Sales and Marketing operation of the hotel. The DOS has responsibility for the Sales and Marketing Budget/P&L, revenue forecasting, advertising, marketing, developing and writing business plans, and ownership meetings. This includes a focus on maximizing hotel revenue by achieving budgeted goals, identifying and monitoring business trends, and utilizing negotiation tactics to achieve significant profit while meeting clients' needs. The DOS will also take advantage of multiple marketing tools to develop creative tactics and marketing solutions.The DOS is responsible for supervising sales managers, trainees, interns, and administrative staff. Additional responsibilities include the recruitment and hiring of sales staff, training, managing, and coaching sales managers in their selling process to meet company goals and maximize hotel revenues. Must be proficient in general computer knowledge and able to train and monitor both the group and transient contractual agreement process, quoting rates, sending referrals, setting traces, and managing retention, reactivation, and acquisition accounts. The DOS reports directly to the General Manager and Regional Vice President of Sales responsible for the hotel. This is the Hyatt Touch.Qualifications:8 years or more of progressive hotel Sales experience (typically with Hyatt)Previous Director of Sales and Marketing experience preferredDemonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgroundsPrevious hotel pre-opening experience preferredDemonstrated history of successResults-driven, energetic, and focusedService-oriented style with professional presentation skillsHotel/Hospitality degree an assetMust possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume concepts, effective communicator, and ability to provide exceptional customer service and improve the bottom lineClear concise written and verbal communication skills in EnglishMust be proficient in Microsoft Word and ExcelPrimary Location:
