Qualifications

Three or more years of experience in professional graphic design, preferably with a creative or marketing agency or equivalent experienceCommitment to growing within a dynamic and complex non-profit organizationBachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in graphic design, art, or related disciplineStrong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects demonstrating creativity, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of design principlesProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc), Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc), and other relevant toolsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present and explain design concepts and ideasAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and take constructive feedback to improve designs while also being self-motivated and capable of working independentlyStrong organizational skillsDemonstrated professionalism and a high level of integrity in all interactionsAnalytical mindset with the ability to use data to inform decisionsEnthusiastic about contributing to a positive and supportive organizational cultureWillingness to work irregular hours occasionally and travel (regionally) as neededResponsibilities

Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with cross-functional teams on a wide range of materials such as program collateral, presentations, signage, internal communications, newsletters, and marketing materialsGather necessary information to understand project requirements, objectives, and target audience to ensure designs align with agency branding and messagingTranslate strategic direction into high-quality design to create visually compelling graphics, illustrations, and layouts for both print and digital mediumsAssist in the creation and distribution of fundraising materials, including donation appeals, newsletters, and social media campaignsAssist in the creation and editing of videos and multimedia content to support marketing and fundraising campaignsMaintain suite of peripherals and share as needed with fundraising ambassadorsEnsure adherence to established brand guidelinesMaintain and grow an organized digital asset library, including logos, images, and design files, for easy access and retrievalMaintain a communications resource library of how-to documents related to communicationsWork directly with external vendors (printers, photographers, etc.) to ensure high-quality production and delivery of materialsStay updated with industry trends, design techniques, and software advancements to continuously improve design quality and efficiencyCompany Information Community Action Marin is a 501(c)(3) non-profit anti-poverty social services agency that helps people throughout Marin County achieve self-sufficiency and thrive.
