Penta is seeking a mid-level, outcome-driven and strategic communicator to join our policymaker outreach team, supporting client projects and recruitment efforts in policymaker communities around the world. In this role, you will be responsible for aligning internal resources and stakeholders to support Penta’s policymaker-marketing objectives, generating timely and visually dynamic short-form content, and leveraging Penta’s proprietary research and insights tools to produce dynamic reports.

Responsibilities:

Content creation: Develop high-quality content including blog posts, articles, and email copy tailored to various audiences, incorporating data-driven insights to enhance engagement and support Penta’s marketing goals.Email marketing: Partner with team members to compose and deploy engaging email copy and strategies.Penta profile: Assist with Penta’s marketing objectives and raise the firm’s profile through published articles and postings; specifically, integrating Penta’s policymaker research into published and online content.Collaboration: Develop partnerships within the firm; support cross-functional teams.Identify and develop insights: Utilize available analytic tools to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities within data sets.Research: Support Penta’s research efforts by helping craft research agendas and interpreting results.Copywriting: Support marketing efforts and other projects with original content.Social media strategy: Monitor social media platforms, develop guiding strategies, and support multi-channel marketing.Website maintenance: Periodically update online assets and upload reports, blog posts, and other content.Research reports: Oversee and draft multiple, comprehensive reports based on Penta’s quantitative and qualitative research.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, English Literature, Journalism, or a related discipline.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.Proven experience in a similar role with a strong track record of creating compelling content, generating reports, supporting marketing functions, and extracting insights from data.Three to five years of experience in a marketing role or something similar, ideally with exposure to the US policy landscape.Strong analytical mindset with the ability to think critically, solve problems, and identify opportunities for improvement.Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all deliverables.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.Experience engaging and conducting outreach with policymakers or legislative staff.Familiarity with policy and advocacy landscapes in DC, Europe, Asia, and state capitals.Inclination to develop new relations and assist with hosting professional events.Experience as a ghostwriter preferred.Proficient with HubSpot and Salesforce.

Salary Range:

The base salary range for this position will be $80,000 - $100,000, depending on a candidate’s experience and qualifications as it relates to the position.

Location:

This position is for US-based personnel and preference will be given to applicants in Washington, DC metro areas who can be in-person in-office three days per week.
