Position Summary

Develops and leads the strategic direction for four business areas: product marketing, brand marketing, brand partnerships, sponsorships and experiential, and field and retailer marketing.

Major Responsibilities

Product Launch and Product Marketing

Develops and deepens Subaru’s brand offering (safety, longevity, adventure/versatility, value, performance, trust) through product marketing.

Directs all the marketing activities of the Subaru product line up.

Brand Management and Brand Marketing

Develop Subaru’s brand image and equity through the Subaru Love Promise.

Oversee strategic direction and development of the Community Commitment pillars both at the national level (More than a Car Company) and retailer level (More than a Car Dealer) with the purpose of long term impact on brand reputation, trust, differentiation and value.

Directs all the marketing activities of the Subaru Love Promise.

Brand Partnerships, Sponsorships and Experiential Marketing

Develop Subaru’s brand image, equity and product awareness through strategic partnerships, sponsorships and experiences with the long term impact on brand reputation, adventure/versatility, sustainability, inclusivity and belonging, brand trust.

Directs all of the marketing activities related to strategic brand partnerships.

Field and Retailer Marketing

Strategic management of the channel partner marketing program, the Subaru Advertising Fund ($300M CY).

Set strategic direction for Carmichael Lynch field team (9 employees) who calls directly on Subaru Retailers.

Oversee management of the Love Promise Community Commitment Award program, Retailer of the Year, and Zone of the Year.

Oversee team responsible for Marketing Internal Communications – to executive team on Marketing Performance and Demand, to National Retailer Advisory Board Marketing Subcommittee, to Subaru field and distributor partners RVPs, Zone Directors and Marketing roles. Manage the strategic direction of the Field Marketing team and its connection into Subaru business objectives.

Education/Experience Requirements: BA/BS with 12 to 15 years of relevant experience.

Work Environment

Hybrid Role: Remote work 2 days per week (After 90 Days Onboarding)

Travel Required: 20-25%

Internal Work Environment: Fast paced working environment. Extensive time in meetings with all levels of SOA Staff, SBR staff, and vendors.

Compensation: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $131,400 – 185,700 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. (Internal Job Grade: D1) In addition to competitive salary, Subaru offers an amazing benefits package that includes:
