Our client is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases, based in Seattle, Washington.

Our team is looking for a tech writer to assist our engineering team in documenting, integrating, and deploying technical documents. This role requires a deep understanding of technical writing principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

As a Technical Writer, you will create clear, user-friendly documentation and content that helps customers understand and effectively use our productsDesign, write, and edit technical and process documentation that is clear, accurate, and easy to understandYou will focus on developing content and ensuring it meets the needs of usersThis role requires attention to detail and the ability to simplify complex informationYou will work closely with engineers, product managers, and other team members to produce documentationDevelop and maintain technical and feature documentation for a range of audiencesCollaborate with internal teams, such as engineers and product managers, to gather information and incorporate feedback into documentationUse feedback and data to make informed content decisions and improve documentationContribute to content standards and guidelines, ensuring consistency and clarityLead individual projects effectively, meeting deadlines and balancing multiple tasksReview and revise existing content to ensure it meets current standards and user needsHybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required(Frequency: Minimum 2-3 days per week)

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in technical writing or a related fieldExperience with creating technical documentation, preferably in a high-tech environment (i.e., software or hardware)Experience independently defining and driving technical documentation projectsExperience working with content formattingExperience writing, proofreading and editing
